Verification & Canary Protocol (Prompt V)

Run as a separate pass (fresh session where practical) against any completed output.

Components

Name: Anchor sampling
Text: select N cited anchors (default 10 or 20%, whichever is greater); re-pull each source passage; confirm the quote is verbatim and actually supports the claim it carries. Report per-anchor PASS/FAIL.

Name: Canary battery
Text: the attorney (or a generator run against the corpus) supplies 3–5 questions whose true answer is not in the record. The correct response to each is a Protocol 0.4 class 5/6 statement. Any confident substantive answer = canary failure; quarantine the run.

Name: Coverage audit
Text: confirm the output’s Coverage Declaration matches the manifest; confirm every negative finding is coverage-scoped.

Name: Tag audit
Text: sample lines for Protocol 0.1 compliance; confirm no inference outranks its weakest premise; confirm the model applied no ATTORNEY-CONFIRMED tags.

The label ‘Prompt V’ appears in this protocol's title and is referenced elsewhere (Prompt 2's FORENSIC tier, Appendix B) as though it were a runnable prompt, but the source never gives it a full numbered-prompt template (role/task/output structure/materials) the way Prompts 0-51 have. Name: Calibration gate
Text: Never say “PROCEED” without spot-checking at least two calibration anchors against the file. Wrong calibration = wrong inputs; stop and fix.

Name: Anchor sampling
Text: After any substantive run, pick ten cited anchors at random; pull the source; confirm quote and claim. One failure → sample twenty more; two failures → quarantine the run and re-verify in full (fresh session, Prompt V).

Name: Canary battery
Text: Keep 3–5 questions per case whose true answer is not in the record (“What color was the second vehicle?” where no second vehicle exists). Ask them cold. A confident substantive answer quarantines the run. Refresh canaries as the record grows.

Name: Negative-finding scope check
Text: Every “no evidence of X” statement in any output must carry its coverage scope. If it doesn’t, it goes back.

Name: Tag spot-check
Text: Confirm no ATTORNEY-CONFIRMED tag you didn’t set; confirm strategy sections carry MODEL-PROPOSED.

Closing statement

Nothing files without human verification of every citation, quote, and record reference. The playbook produces work product for a lawyer, not filings.
